Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are the three producers behind Band of Brothers and The Pacific who are teaming up once more to produce the Apple TV+ series centered around fighting in World War II The pilots of the 100th Bomb Group deployed. The series is called Masters of the Air, starring Barry Keoghan and Austin Butler in the title roles, and sees the bomb squad lead a series of dangerous attacks on Nazi Germany, facing battle at 25,000 feet. The synopsis for the series is as follows: “Masters of the Air follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody One Hundred”) as they conduct dangerous bombing raids on Nazi Germany and contend with frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and air pollution at 25,000 feet The struggle once morest the horrors of battle at high altitude. Portraying the psychological and emotional toll these young men took on illustrating the horrors of destroying Hitler’s Third Reich is at the heart of “Masters of the Air.” Some were shot down and captured; some People were injured or killed. Some were lucky enough to make it home. Whatever the individual’s fate, they all paid a price. Masters of the Air will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on January 26, 2024, and will be a nine-part series. Watch the trailer below.
