Aston Martin’s Spanish driver Fernando Alonso is third. It’s been a long time since a Spanish driver reached the podium. Red Bull’s own Mexican driver Sergio Perez finished fourth.

There are three races left in the season. The US and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix remain. Verstappen secured the world championship by winning the Qatar Grand Prix.

52 wins for the Dutch driver in his career so far. Verstappen has won 19 of the last 20 races. It was the star’s 17th win of the season in Brazil.
