THERE was something unique at the ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in South Tangerang City (Tangsel). Mayor of Tangsel Benyamin Davnie, Deputy Mayor Pilar Saga Ichsan, together with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) rode a tank to the ceremony field, Saturday (17/8).

Thousands of people who crowded the road area towards the 9th Cavalry Battalion Field/Surya Dharma Kala were seen welcoming them enthusiastically. “Of course this is an extraordinary experience with Forkopimda riding a tank towards the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony,” said Benyamin.

He said, in this year’s independence commemoration, collaboration and synergy are important in order to make various programs implemented by the South Tangerang City Government a success.

According to him, without synergy and collaboration, the South Tangerang City Government will not be able to realize the superior programs being carried out.

“Let’s build synergy, collaboration, innovation and creativity for the progress of South Tangerang city. Let’s ensure that whatever our role in society, we continue to move forward and create positive change,” he concluded. (J-2)
