The official councilor Mayurvis Alcalá was elected as the new president of the Municipal Chamber of Caroní, in a session held this Tuesday, January 3.
In the Simón Bolívar meeting room, the act was held, in which the board of directors that will assume the period 2023-2024 was installed.
After a year in which Milagros Marcano was in charge of the council, this time he handed over the baton to Alcalá, while Gabriel Saa Otalvarez is the vice president.
While in the secretariat, Jesús Vásquez and Carlos García undersecretary were re-elected.
“It is an honor to hand over the reins as the new president of the Caroní Municipal Council to Mayurvis Alcalá. Together we will continue to develop tasks, under the direction of our president Nicolás Maduro, because Bolívar is reborn with a Ciudad Guayana to live in, ”Marcano wrote on his social networks.
The new board of directors, which begins its functions, was sworn in.

Re-elected in Angostura del Orinoco
The municipal chamber of Angostura del Orinoco in a session, held at its official headquarters, chose the board that will legislate for the 2023-2024 period.
The organization chart was chaired once once more by Carlos Rodríguez, councilor of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
As vice president, the councilor for Tupamaro, Katiuska Navarro, was elected – once more-.
In the secretariat Millerlandy Nicolás was re-elected and as undersecretary: Libis Vivas.
The mayor of Angostura del Orinoco, Sergio Hernández, was present there; as well as that of Independence, Hernán Rodríguez.
“Here the mandate of Chávez, President Nicolás Maduro, Governor Ángel Marcano and the people are fulfilled, the latter attended the spaces of the municipal palace to give their support to the men and women who make up the Municipal Chamber of Ciudad Bolívar, a sample of love and loyalty to the revolution,” Hernández said.
The presidency and vice presidency of both chambers is presided over by councilors sympathetic to the government.
