Maze of Power by Kehinde Wiley at the Musée du Quai Branly

2023-11-01 10:26:07

The American artist Kehinde Wiley, author of a portrait of Barack Obama in 2018, created large-format portraits of African presidents with the pictorial codes of aristocratic portraits of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. From this work is born research on the staging of contemporary African power. Kehinde is represented by the Templon gallery.
