In Yakutia, eight cases of measles were registered in eight months of 2023 this year. Almost all of the cases were in areas where there were outbreaks of the disease.

– Over the eight months of this year, six cases of measles have been registered, which are also imported. They became infected there, came and got sick here,” the epidemiologist said.
At risk are all unvaccinated people, especially patients with chronic diseases and immunodeficiency. As a rule, the disease is more severe in adults than in children. The reason for this is concomitant diseases.
The only preventive measure is a vaccine.
