Melvil Reygaert, who shone at RTC Tournaisien, has regained his taste for tennis in Sweden

A return to tournaments and interclubs

With this first title of the season, Melvil, classified C30.3, might well become the scarecrow of Gentlemen 5 in 2024. “I’ve been playing at Froyennes since I was 12, but it’s been a few years since I put away my rackets to concentrate on my studies at Solvay. But I plan to play a lot in 2024. I’m in my final year and I now have a little more time. I plan to take advantage of this to play in a lot of tournaments, but also interclubs.

“My good old clay”

It was in Sweden that Melvil caught the little yellow ball virus once more. “I have just returned from a one-year Erasmus in Lund, in the south of the country, not very far from Malmö. I took my racket with me and played quite a bit, exclusively on hard surfaces. I am very happy to have returned to Belgium and to have found this good old clay once more.

With some success.
