When it comes to violence once morest women, Austria is one of the sad leaders in Europe: 26 femicides and 51 attempted murders were counted in 2023. In this young year, seven women have already lost their lives at the hands of men. To commemorate the victims and give visibility to the problem, a memorial once morest femicide was unveiled on Vienna’s Karlsplatz on Friday, International Women’s Day.
