Merchandise falls inside a supermarket in downtown Beirut as a result of the strong earthquake that struck Turkey • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Many videos circulated on social media documented the effects of the earthquake that struck Turkey, which occurred early Monday morning, and its repercussions on neighboring countries.

A video clip showed damage to buildings in Turkey, and people gathered in the street. Another clip showed that neighboring countries were affected by the earthquake, including Lebanon, where a clip documented a scene of damage to a supermarket in Beirut.

Through the clip, it appears that the goods fell from the top of the shelves, and spread on the ground, as a result of the earthquake that struck it.

The German Center for Geosciences Research had reported that a 7.7-magnitude earthquake shook Turkey this morning, and that it occurred at a depth of ten kilometers.
