Michael Frey Signs with Queens Park Rangers: Latest Transfer News and Career Update

2024-01-29 20:36:08

Michael Frey continues his career in England with second division club Queens Park Rangers. The 29-year-old Bernese striker was most recently under contract with Royal Antwerp in Belgium, but no longer played any role in sporting projects there following a disagreement with the club’s management.

Frey played his last official match in May last year for Schalke 04 during his loan spell in the Bundesliga. Queens Park Rangers have been playing in the Championship since 2015 and are fighting to maintain their position this season. After 29 days, coach Marti Cifuentes’ team is in 22nd place, which puts them in relegation position.

For the former YB, Lucerne and FCZ player, this is the 6th country in which he has played following Switzerland, France (Lille), Turkey (Fenerbahcel), Germany (Nuremberg and Schalke) and Belgium (Waasland-Beveren and Royal Antwerp). In the Championship, Frey will meet a 2nd Swiss, Christian Fassnacht (Norwich City).
