Directed by Michael Mann, the biopic “Ferrari” focuses on a crucial moment in the life of Enzo Ferrari. In the guise of the automaker, we find Adam Driver alongside Penélope Cruz and Shailene Woodley. Trailer.

Director Michael Mann (Heat, Ali, Colléteral) had not made a feature film since 2015 with Hacker worn by Chris Hemsworth. After a brief stint on television to sign the first episode of the Tokyo Vice series, the filmmaker returns to the big screen with Ferrari.

Ferrari, presented at the Venice Film Festival, focuses on the summer of 1957 when former racing driver Enzo Ferrari was in crisis. Bankruptcy stalks the business he and his wife Laura built from scratch ten years earlier.

Their stormy marriage struggles with the loss of one son and the recognition of another. He decides to counter his losses by betting everything on a single race – 1,000 miles through Italy, the iconic Mille Miglia.

The trailer reveals Adam Driver in the skin of Enzo Ferrari and focuses on the love tribulations of the manufacturer, all interspersed with several racing images. In the casting, we will find Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Connell or even Patrick Dempsey.

If the biopic is expected for December 25 in the United States, it will be released directly on the Amazon Prime Videoe platform in France for a date that has not yet been communicated.

Ferrari, soon on Prime Video.
