The US technology company Microsoft and the German automotive group Volkswagen will jointly develop autonomous car control systems. In the future, they will be used in so-called self-propelled cars.
Microsoft said it was the next step in a strategic partnership between the two companies.
The German company said in a statement that the cooperation would accelerate the development of such interconnected systems.
They are gradually becoming the norm in the automotive industry, which is gradually shifting to the production of electric cars.
The first trials of the planned system are scheduled for this year, but it could appear on the market next year. However, both companies do not yet provide further information on the contract.
Meanwhile, new technology experts point out that Volkswagen and Microsoft have been working together since 2018 to create cloud computing platforms for cars.
