Microsoft is cutting regarding 1,900 jobs at Activision Blizzard and Xbox this week, news site The Verge reported Thursday, citing an internal memo from the head of the company’s gaming division.
The cuts represent regarding 8% of the entire Microsoft Gaming division, with most of the layoffs expected to take place at Activision Blizzard, the recently acquired video game publisher.
Microsoft did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
