Middle East War Sparks Energy Price Decline: Compare the Best Fixed Energy Contracts

2023-12-04 09:29:42

The start of the war in the Middle East had raised fears of the worst, with uncertainty and a sudden surge in the markets, but the update of our table of prices for fixed energy contracts is clear: ALL prices, at EVERYONE suppliers are in decline.

And if we take a closer look at the price of the kWh offered by these suppliers, we realize that the drop is sometimes spectacular: the price of the gas kWh thus rose at Octa + from 9.23 cents in November to 6.7 cents for a contract signed in December, the supplier thus moving from the status of the most expensive to the best rate from one month to the next.

The drop is so spectacular that it is even, according to the data at our disposal, the best price offered since the return of fixed contracts: 6.7 cents for gas, therefore, and 17.31 cents for a mono-hourly meter in Wallonia, at Octa + once more.
