The Minister of National Education has just expanded the composition and scope of action of the Council of Elders of Secularism, a body set up in 2018 by Jean-Michel Blanquer to produce resources on the subject and participate in the training of teachers.
From now on, secularism will be resolutely open, extended to “everything that strengthens the adherence of students to the values of the Republic”, from the fight against racism and anti-Semitism to gender equality, through the promotion of fraternity at school.
