Minister Rui Falcão hands over national flag to the Angolan mission – Jornal OPaís

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, yesterday handed over the national flag to the Angolan mission that will participate in the African Games in the city of Accra, Ghana, from the 8th to the 23rd of March.

At Cidadela Desportiva, in Luanda, the person in charge wished positive participation to the athletes who will evolve in various modalities.

The achievement of medals, as well as the improvement in the general classification table, was also highlighted to the athletes.

The caravan coordinator, António Vemba, said that the conditions are created and the objective is to do more and better than in the last edition.

“Winning medals in the competition is the athletes’ objective, so we are ready to do so”, said the person in charge.

Men’s handball will not participate in the African Games because the procedures have been changed by the organization of the event, according to a source from the federation headed by Maninho Amaral.
