Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Justice and the National Institute of Statistics (INE) are making progress in improving data collection, as well as in the construction of prison statistics at the national level.
To this end, officials from both institutions met to follow up on the work, which is part of the agreement recently signed by the Minister of Justice, Rodrigo Nicora, and the national director of the INE, Iván Ojeda Aguilera.
The document establishes joint efforts to generate accurate statistics on persons deprived of liberty (PPL), which contribute to the effective management of State resources.
According to the agreement, mechanisms will be promoted and strengthened to facilitate the inter-institutional exchange of experiences, knowledge, data information, training, research and the provision of technical and professional services.
