The Ministry of the Popular Power of National Commerce through the National Superintendency for the Defense of Socioeconomic Rights (Sundde), carried out an inspection deployment in private health centers, among which are: Hospital de Clínicas Caracas, Urológico San Román and the Metropolitan Polyclinic, located in Greater Caracas.
The deployment was led by the Minister of Popular Power for National Commerce, Eneida Laya, with the aim of verifying compliance with the Organic Law of Fair Prices (LOPJ), highlights the press release of this office.
Minister Laya highlighted: “we went out to supervise private clinics and pharmacies in Caracas, we appointed a team to evaluate their cost structures and thus guarantee real prices for patients, especially those infected by COVID-19, who wish to receive their treatment in private health centers ”.
He also announced that they will carry out audits in private clinics and pharmacies in the country to protect the socio-economic rights of the people.
These inspections of private medical centers seek to guarantee health as a fundamental right, the provision of good service at a real price and without conditions, as established in the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in its article 83 and the Organic Law of Fair Prices (LOPJ).
