Mirrored armadillo from Texas Station moves to new Stoney’s at Santa Fe Station

LAS VEGAS (KSNV)—

Texas Station’s famous giant mirrored armadillo has a new home.

A spokesperson says the reflective mammal has been installed at Stoney’s North Forty inside Santa Fe Station in the northwest Las Vegas valley.

The armadillo weighs more than 50 pounds and was first installed at the Armadillo Lounge inside Texas Station back in 1995.

Since then, it’s moved between venues at Texas Station and Santa Fe Station, both owned by Station Casinos.

Stoney’s North Forty is scheduled to open later this month.
