(Archyde.com) – The Standard & Poor’s 500 and Nasdaq on Wall Street opened lower on Monday, as an increase in COVID-19 infections in China fueled concerns regarding slowing growth, while the index rose following a jump in Disney shares (NYSE:).

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 14.6 points, or 0.04 percent, to 33,760.3 points.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index fell 9.1 points, or 0.23 percent, to 3,956.23, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 55.1 points, or 0.49 percent, to 11,091.008.
