Moge motorists are paralyzed for crossing the Ring 1 area

JAKARTA, – Assistant for Intelligence of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) Lt. Col. Inf Wisnu Herlambang confirmed the existence of a number of big motorbike riders ( I can) who were prosecuted by Paspampres while driving on Jalan Veteran III, behind the Presidential Palace, on last Sunday (21/2/2021).

He said that a number of motorists had to be paralyzed by Paspampres officers because they broke through a road that was currently closed.

Wisnu said that at that time a number of Paspampres officers were carrying out security installations at the Vice President’s office.

Therefore, Jalan Veteran III, which was normally open to the public, was temporarily closed. The officer has installed a road dividing sign as a marker for the road to be closed.

However, suddenly the motorcyclists passed at high speed and the exhaust sound was noisy.

Therefore, Wisnu emphasized that the action of the officer who paralyzed the motorcyclist by kicking him was in accordance with the procedure.

“It has entered the category of indirect danger. And because of the alertness of the member, he has been trained, he is alert. Whatever the story, we will paralyze it first,” said Wisnu.

According to Wisnu, the actions of the Paspampres members were in accordance with the technical instructions contained in the TNI Commander’s decree.

The video showing a group of motorcyclists being intercepted by Paspampres was previously viral on social media. The video was recorded from the cameras of the motorbike riders, then uploaded to their YouTube account.

One of the ones who uploaded the video of the incident was Sahdilah’s YouTube account which has 269,000 subscribers. Then the video was also uploaded to Instagram by a number of accounts, one of which was the @bodatnation account.

In the video, it appears that Paspampres officers stop a group of motorcyclists who are doing a Sunday morning ride (Sunmori) on Jalan Veteran III, behind the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta.

The highlight was that one of the officers with a gun kicked one of the motorcyclists until it fell.
