SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Malik Monk scored 11 of his 22 points in overtime and set up Kevin Huerter for a crucial 3-pointer with 32 seconds left, and the Sacramento Kings ruined the 20th anniversary of the debut of LeBron James in the NBA with a 132-127 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

De’Aaron Fox finished with 37 points and eight assists for the Kings. He scored eight points in the final six minutes of regulation following suffering an ankle injury early in the period. Domantas Sabonis added 12 points and 15 rebounds.

James finished with 27 points, 15 boards and eight assists. Anthony Davis added 30 points and 16 rebounds for the Lakers (1-2), who trailed by 15 points before closing the final quarter on a 9-2 run to send the game to overtime.

Monk, who missed nine of his first 13 shots, did not miss on four attempts in overtime. He hit two 3-pointers, set up Huerter for another that put his team up 130-125, and then sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 15 seconds left.
