A person was seriously burned on Saturday followingnoon at the Mons Christmas Market during a fire in a chalet. Injured in the face, this person was transferred to hospital.

According to the emergency services, the events took place in a chalet which sells items made from ethanol, a flammable liquid. There would have been an explosion, followed by flames.

The incident occurred while onlookers were enjoying the Market, a few hours before Christmas.
