A 31-year-old man was stabbed in the night from Sunday to Monday in downtown Montreal.
A call to 911 reported an attempted murder on a person that occurred around 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Berri and Sainte-Catherine streets East.
Police officers dispatched to the scene located a man injured in his upper body, said Julien Lévesque of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Transported by Urgences-santé., The thirty-something was conscious during his evacuation to a hospital. Doctors do not fear for the life of the victim.
Known to the police, the victim did not want to cooperate with the police, according to the spokesperson for the SPVM.
Investigators and a dog handler came to the scene to analyze the scene and try to determine the exact circumstances of the attempted murder.
No arrests were made in connection with the event.
