Overall, the Canadian played a solid match last night once morest the Chicago Blackhawks, despite a too quiet start to the match.

Martin St-Louis’ troop woke up following Jayden Struble’s showdown.

These are therefore two points which were added to the record of CH, which now finds itself three points from the playoffs.

It’s quite impressive to see the Habs so close to a playoff spot despite all the injuries and the current roster which is quite destitute.

Let’s say that there really wouldn’t be any other injuries at the CH at the moment.

It’s therefore normal that we quickly become concerned when we see Cole Caufield retreat to the locker room and miss a few appearances, even if he ended up being back on the bench.

Caufield seemed in pretty bad shape following his contact with Hawks defender Isaak Phillips.

He retreated to the bench with some difficulty, which is never a good thing to see.

With his shoulder surgery last summer, it is clear that we worry as soon as we see the young maverick being bothered by any pain and missing a few appearances.

Hopefully it was more fear than harm given that Caufield was able to get back into the game and even get an assist on Nick Suzuki’s goal in the third period.

In Caufield’s absence, Jesse Ylönen and Emil Heineman got shifts on the top line, and they both looked good.

Ylönen looked very good, getting an assist on Juraj Slafkovsky’s goal

I’ll say it once more, but Jesse Ylönen really deserves a real chance in the top-6 right now, especially with all the injuries.

Giving him more ice time wouldn’t cost Martin St-Louis anything. He was on the ice for 12 minutes and 30 seconds last night.

The same goes for Emil Heineman, who played less than six minutes in his first NHL game Thursday night in Minnesota.

It was better yesterday, when St. Louis played Heineman for 9 minutes and 43 seconds.

In short, the numerous injuries should allow young people to have a good chance of standing out.

Coming back to Caufield, let’s hope he is OK, and that the Christmas break will allow him to recover to 100%.

A lot of

– Not to be missed today.

– Wow.

– Oh come on.

– Movement in the Minnesota Wild staff.

– The former Devils and Panthers is having fun in the KHL.

– To be continued.
