More than ten homes destroyed and a child injured in the rain in Malanje – Jornal OPaís

Fourteen homes and a church were destroyed in the Caiezo, Campo da Aviação and Quizanga neighborhoods, in the municipality of Malanje, as a result of the heavy rains that fell over the region in the last 48 hours, ANGOP learned today.

The information is contained in a report from the Civil Protection and Fire Service, which also reports on the injury of a five-year-old child.

The data is provisional, as Firefighters continue to carry out inspection visits to neighborhoods in the municipality of Malanje, with a view to identifying other possible victims of the floods.

It should be remembered that the province of Malanje has been experiencing constant rain since November 2023, having so far caused the destruction of three thousand and 596 houses and left the same number of families out in the open.
