Morocco Shines with Gold Medals at Karate Premier League Antalya – Saïd Oubaya and Fatima Zahra Chajai Triumph

Morocco won two gold medals, thanks to the exploits of Said Oubaya and Fatima Zahra Chajai, during the “Karate Premier League Antalya” international tournament which was held from March 15 to 17 in Turkey.

Said Oubaya won the gold medal in the -67 kg category, ahead of the Italian Maresca Luca and the Japanese Kozaki Yugo, who won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

For her part, Fatima Zahra Chajai won the gold medal in the -61 kg category, while the silver medal was won by the Belgian Ajaray Maryam, and the bronze medal by the Kazakh Kanay Assel.

This competition, held following the inaugural tournament in Paris on January 6-28, 2024, saw the participation of some of the best karatekas in the world. The next meetings of the Karate Premier League will take place in Cairo in Egypt from April 19 to 21, 2024 and in Casablanca in Morocco from May 31 to June 2, 2024.

“We are proud of your performance at Karate 1 Premier League Antalya. Bravo Saïd Oubaya and Fatima Zahra Chajai!” declared the Royal Moroccan Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines on its Facebook page.
