A motorcyclist was trapped between a truck and a car following a head-on collision in Tyrol on Monday followingnoon. The 38-year-old drove on the Ötztaler Straße coming from Sölden towards Gurgl (District Imst). At a construction site, traffic was stopped alternately. The motorcyclist drove to the end of the traffic jam, was able to avoid a car in front of him to the left, but then collided head-on with an oncoming truck.
According to the police, the man was trapped between the vehicles and had to be resuscitated at the scene of the accident. After first aid, he was taken to Innsbruck University Hospital by emergency helicopter.
