A lot of patience is needed on the A1 on Tuesday morning in the Winterthur region. After an accident, the motorway near Winterthur-Töss in the direction of St. Gallen had to be closed, as TCS writes. Traffic will be diverted via the Töss exit and entrance.
According to the TCS, the blocking lasts at least until seven o’clock. According to the Zurich cantonal police, the accident happened shortly before four o’clock. For previously unknown reasons, a 19-year-old driver crashed into a traffic divider at the Winterthur-Töss exit.
The car was thrown back onto the freeway. A 23-year-old woman then crashed into the vehicle involved in the accident. The 19-year-old was seriously injured in the accident, the 23-year-old suffered minor to moderate injuries. The people had to be taken to the hospital.
