The German newspaper Kicker revealed that Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller expressed his wish for Robert Lewandowski to continue with the Bavarian club.
“I would like him to be my long-time partner in attack,” Thomas Mueller said in an interview with the newspaper regarding Robert Lewandowski’s situation.
He added: “We are in the summer break and we have seen a lot of news, and at the moment, I remember Franck Ribery’s desire to go to Real Madrid, and he ended up staying with us for a long time.”
Muller has ruled out a drop in Lewandowski’s performance if Bayern Munich insist he honors his contract, which expires in 2023, although the Polish player has publicly expressed his desire to leave the Bavarian club.
