Mumbai: Kerala Blasters’ first defeat in the new Indian Super League football season. In the away match held yesterday, Blasters lost once morest Mumbai City FC.

Blasters lost by two goals to one. Perera Diaz and Apuiya bagged the goals for Mumbai City. After falling behind by a goal, Blasters came back through Danish Farooq.

Mumbai’s first goal was in the injury time of the first half. Ex-Blasters player Kudi Dias took advantage of the mistake made by Blasters defense and scored the first goal.

Danish Blasters equalized in the 57th minute of the second half. The goal was from Sandeep’s cross. Within nine minutes, Mumbai took the lead once more through Apuiya. Each player from both teams was sent off for rough tackles in the final minutes. With the win, Mumbai came second with seven points. Blasters are in the fourth position with six points from three games.
