MUSIC. On Tuesday June 13 at the Jean Wiener intermunicipal conservatory, the Initiales de Chaumont association organized a somewhat special audition. Unaccompanied minors from Relais 52 were able to make music this year at the conservatory and mixed with students from the latter. Alizée Mons, in charge of the Initiales Haute-Marne mission, attended this pell-mell hearing. Speakers from Initiales, Relais 52 and teachers from the music conservatory were also present.

This audition brought together a total of thirty young people, including fifteen from Relais 52. “This is an artistic project carried out for a year between the Conservatory and Relais 52. It is good to see all the young people “, underlined Alizée Mons. Before the audition, the young people took part in three different workshops: a writing and French slam workshop, a piano workshop and another percussion workshop.

In the first part, the young people of the Jean Wiener conservatory provided a successful musical performance with several instruments: guitar, piano, violin, trombone, or even the transverse flute, taking up pieces by Jean-Sébastien Bach, Franz Schubert, Carlin or the most recent English melody “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay. In the second part, the young people of Relais 52 continued with several piano and slam parts, including the piece “L’amour d’une mère” interpreted by Ismaël Soumahoro in slam and Himad Hamdane on the piano.

The holding of this hearing was a first. Before its start, Alizée Mons wanted to thank Catherine Millot – singing teacher at the conservatory – for her participation and the realization of this project. The young people were all very applauded for their musical performance.
