Guitarist and singer-songwriter Matt Watts has handed away. Felix Huybrechts of document label Starman Data confirms this.
Matt Watts (1987) was an American musician who had lived in Belgium since he was nineteen. Along with his solo profession, he performed with Zita Swoon Group, with Stef Kamil Carlens’ backing band and with Rudy Trouvé’s undertaking I H8 Digicam.
Watts launched 4 data underneath his personal title on the Antwerp label Starman Data. “No one had seen this coming,” says Felix Huybrechts of Starman. “Matt had simply recorded a document that was going to be launched on an American label. A variety of performances had already been booked for subsequent summer season, each solo and with I H8 Digicam.”
Huybrechts characterizes Watts as an impressed author who subsequently set his texts to music. “He was an excellent candy man, a really gifted singer-songwriter.”
Stef Kamil Carlens commemorates Watts with a message on Fb. “A really very unhappy day it’s immediately. My expensive pal Matt Watts has handed away. I like you buddy, thanks to your lovely soul,” he writes.
