The famous Liège jeweler on Boulevard d’Avroy in Liège, Jean-François Langohr, died on Sunday July 16 2023 at the age of 45. The man was found dead by two young walkers in the former Awirs quarry in Flémalle where he allegedly fell from a 40-meter high cliff.
The investigation quickly revealed the suicide theory. Last week, the thesis was no longer in doubt. But the circumstances were hazy. Investigators found 100,000 euros in counterfeit banknotes at the Liège jeweler. The man allegedly committed suicide following being scammed.
