Employees of correctional colony No. 6 in the village of Melekhovo, Vladimir region, said that Alexey Navalny “is no longer listed with them.” They informed the politician’s lawyer regarding this.
“They refuse to say where he was transferred,” told Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh.
The politician’s representative also statedthat in correctional colony No. 7 of the Vladimir region – a special regime colony – the lawyer was told that Navalny was not there.
“On Friday and throughout today, neither in IK-6 nor in IK-7 [адвокатам] didn’t answer. Obviously, the command has now been given. Where Alexey is is still unknown,” Yarmysh said.
On December 11, Navalny was once more not included in the court hearing via video link. Last week they refused to allow a lawyer to visit him in the colony. The politician’s associates have not known what is happening to him for six days.
In August 2023, the Moscow City Court sentenced the politician to 19 years in prison in a special regime colony in a case of “extremism.”
