American astronomers, using the TESS exploratory space telescope of the US space agency NASA, discovered a new planet 400 million years old, which they called HD 63433d. It is an extrasolar planet, the size of the Earth, and has an atmosphere. Very hot, like lava.

Although the planet is the size of Earth, it is young in the cosmic sense, regarding 400 million years old, and our planet is 4.5 billion years old. This celestial child is eight times closer to its star than Mercury is to our sun, and it has a unique feature known as “orbital closure.” Half of it faces the sun throughout the year and the other half is dark throughout the year, which led to the temperature of the side facing the sun rising to 1257 degrees Celsius, which is like a hemisphere of lava.
