National Energy Authority of China: Investment in solar energy projects rose 304% in the first seven months of 2022 | latest news

The National Energy Authority of China said that investment in solar energy projects rose 304 percent from last year to 77.3 billion yuan, equivalent to 11.4 billion dollars, in the period from January to July.

The total investments of these companies in power engineering projects amounted to 260 billion yuan during this period, an increase of 16.8 percent year on year. The authority’s data also showed that investment in electricity network projects rose 10.4 percent year on year to reach 223.9 billion yuan.

The authority said that the total installed power generation capacity in China amounted to regarding 2.46 billion kilowatts until the end of July, an increase of 8% over the previous year.
