NNA – Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received, at the headquarters of the second presidency in Ain al-Tineh, Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, where he was presented with a presentation on the security situation and the affairs of the military institution.
Speaker Berri received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, and a member of the Presidency of the “Amal” Movement, Dr. Khalil Hamdan. The meeting dealt with the general situation in Lebanon and the region and the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Telegram of condolence
On the other hand, Speaker Berri received a telegram of condolence from the former Iraqi Prime Minister, Secretary General of the Islamic Dawa Party, Nuri al-Maliki, on the departure of the former Parliament Speaker, Mr. Hussein al-Husseini.
