National News Agency – Khreis followed up on the issue of water cuts in Tire district: the stations will be supplied with electricity from the Litani Water Authority

NNA – Member of the Development and Editing Bloc, MP Ali Khreis, pointed to “prospective solutions to the water crisis that is afflicting the Tire district as a result of the permanent power cuts, which has deprived more than hundreds of thousands of citizens of drinking water.”

He said: “These solutions, in coordination between the Electricity of Lebanon Corporation and the Litani Authority, and following reviewing the stakeholders, as work is underway to try to connect some public service lines in Tyre to feed the pumping stations of drinking water.”

Representative Khreis said, “What we are experiencing today in Lebanon is more than a crisis, and that the water crisis is the most severe, and we are working hard with those concerned in this context to feed the water stations with electric current.”

“This is a humanitarian duty, and easing the crisis is a national duty and everyone’s responsibility,” he said.
