The departmental direction of the national police carried out a series of checks on Narbonne and Carcassonne during this last weekend.
This is a new operation to combat urban rodeos which was carried out on January 20 and 21 by the departmental direction of the Aude national police. In the municipalities of Narbonne and Carcassonne, no less than seventeen checks were organized during this weekend.
More than fifty drivers had to undergo these interventions. In the end, twenty offenses were noted, including two for insurance defects and one for driving without a license. Three people were arrested for drunk driving.
“These operations will continue in the coming days” confirms this Monday, January 22, the communication from the national police.
