The Gyeonggi Gwangju Police Station announced today (22nd) that it plans to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A in his 70s on charges of murder.

It was investigated that Mr. A brought a real sword called ‘Japanese sword’ from home and swung it at Mr. B while arguing with Mr. B, a neighbor in his 50s, over parking at a villa parking lot in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, around 7 am today.

Mr. B was seriously injured in the right wrist area and was transferred to Ajou University Hospital by Dr. Helicopter in a state of cardiac arrest due to excessive bleeding. However, Mr. B, who was being treated at the hospital, died at around 3:17 pm.

As a result of the police investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. A’s real sword was 101 cm in total length, and that possession permission was issued in 2015.

Mr. A is said to have admitted to the crime for a long time, saying that there was a conflict between the victim and the parking dispute, including the truck exhaust problem.

The police confirmed that the CCTV’s electrical cord was missing from 5 am just before the crime, and is also investigating the possibility that Mr. A intentionally pulled out the CCTV.

With the death of Mr. B, the police plan to apply for an arrest warrant by changing the charge once morest Mr. A from attempted murder to murder.
