Seidl: “It is to be welcomed that the years of traveling are finally over. But we would have liked an open discussion.”
Vienna (OTS) – NEOS culture spokeswoman Julia Seidl reacts happily to today’s announcement that a new and larger location will be made available to the House of Austrian History. “The uncertain years of travel are history. “Finally there is a worthy place to remember and not forget,” says Seidl.
“However, it would have been desirable to examine other locations and have an open discussion. It would also have made sense to house it in the arsenal with the military history museum. Nevertheless, we are pleased that our constant efforts to create better conditions for the House of History have ultimately borne fruit,” said Seidl. “The fact that the new location will now be at the Place of Human Rights is hopefully a promise from the federal government to always look at Austrian history honestly and critically in the future, because a place for debate and reflection on socio-political issues is more important today than ever.”
