Income taxes will be reduced by 500-600 million euros, and the government plans to achieve spending cuts by cutting social benefits. These are, in particular, housing benefits and unemployment benefits. Those who receive a living allowance may be required to work. In addition, value-added taxes will be increased, but this will not affect food.

The criteria for obtaining Finnish citizenship and residence permit will be tightened. There are also plans to increase the number of police officers in the country.

According to preliminary data, the new government will have 17 ministers.

In May, Finland set a minimum wage threshold for immigrants – 1,600 euros per month, or more than 135,000 rubles. This amount is needed to obtain a residence permit.

In April, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin announced the resignation and resignation of her government. The election was won by the National Coalition Party, chaired by Orpo.
