New migrant caravan moves to Guatemala

Almost 10,000 people are traveling north in Guatemala. They are obviously hoping for a warmer reception from the new Biden government, which is supposed to plan a radical amnesty for the paperless.

Migration is always driven by two forces at the same time. The desperate hope for a better life depends on the one hand on the degree of misery from which migrants want to escape and on the other hand on the degree of probability that the destination and the better life hoped for there can actually be achieved. The youngest human caravan from Honduras, which is currently heading north in Guatemala, illustrates this perfectly.
