The Ministry of Health and Social Protection issued a new statement after meeting with representatives of the pharmaceutical sector.
The Ministry of Ait Taleb announced that the Directorate of Medicines and Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection launched the second round of a series of meetings with representatives of the pharmaceutical sector, starting from August 29.
A statement from the ministry, today, Friday, stated that the new office of pharmaceutical companies in Morocco “LEMM” was received as part of this tour, indicating that this meeting comes within the framework of continuing the participatory policy adopted by the directorate with various representatives of the pharmaceutical sector in Morocco, and under the directives of the Minister of Health and Social Protection.
According to the same source, the meeting focused mainly on enhancing means of cooperation between the two sides to ensure drug security, which is a fundamental pillar for the success of the major royal project in the field of comprehensive health coverage.
The importance of encouraging research and development in the pharmaceutical field to develop innovative drugs that contribute to strengthening the hospital arsenal of the national health system was also emphasized, according to the same source.
The statement indicated that the two parties agreed that the entry into force of the Moroccan Agency for Medicines and Health Products would constitute a qualitative step towards strengthening good governance in the medicine and health products sector.
