Star Warsdirector JJ Abrams is working on a new feature film about Superman. Abrams is a producer on the project of film studio Warner Bros. involved, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The American writer Ta-Nehisi Coates (Between the world and me) takes care of the script.
“There is a new, powerful and moving Superman story yet to be told,” said Abrams. “We are thrilled to partner with the brilliant Mr. Coates to bring that story to the big screen. We are extremely grateful to the Warner Bros. team for the opportunity.”
Superman first hit the silver screen in 1978, starring Christopher Reeves. The last actor to wear the superhero’s cape was Henry Cavill in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) in Justice League (2017).
