Sources revealed toNews 24The Ministry of Health intends to activate and strengthen programs to detect HIV infection in 12 regions of the Kingdom.
The sources indicated that the programs will be activated in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Al-Qassim, and the Eastern Province, in addition to the regions of Asir, Tabuk, Hail, the northern borders, Jazan, Najran, Al-Baha, and Al-Jawf.
According to previous statements by Abdullah Al-Hogail, head of the Immunity Association, the consultant, the number of people living with AIDS in the Kingdom is estimated at regarding 10,000 citizens and more than 20,000 residents, which are small numbers in relation to the population and do not constitute a danger, according to Al-Hogail.
