The Food and Drug Authority revealed the truth of what was circulated during the last period that chicken broth cubes caused cancer.
The authority clarified that chicken broth cubes are nothing but sodium glutamate salt, and it is considered one of the food additives allowed according to the Saudi technical regulations, stressing that it has not been proven with scientific evidence that it is linked to cancer.
She advised to reduce the consumption and use of these cubes, because they contain large amounts of salt.
