The Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) confirmed that the “Osmbek” product is registered with it as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, and not for weight loss.
The authority advised everyone to consult a specialist doctor before using the product, indicating that the side effects that may occur to the patient are weight loss.
The authority’s clarification came in response to a person’s belief that the “Osmbek” product is used to lose weight within a few days.
