News 24 | Health reveals the treatment used for monkeypox cases

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Asiri, revealed the treatment followed for people infected with monkeypox.

Dr. Abdullah Asiri told the website:News 24“Most cases of monkeypox do not require any treatment interventions, and the health situation may require the use of traditional smallpox medicines.

He added that traditional smallpox medicines are available, including Princess, Fovir and Tecoferiman, as preliminary studies have shown that they are effective once morest monkeypox.

It is reported that the Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of monkeypox infections reached three cases for citizens returning from Europe.
